Tom explains, “We flew to Santiago on October 25th. We managed to enlist the help of a great custom motorcycle builder from Santiago called Herencia Rides who helped us buy our bikes, standard Honda XR150L’s, and build the surf board racks. We headed West (and South Slightly) from Santiago and are making our way North into Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. From here, we are keeping our options open about crossing the Darien Gap for now. Once we get across to Panama, we will head north through Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and up into Mexico. From here we will pass through Chiapas and Oaxaca and up to Mazatlán, where we hope to cross to Baja and follow the peninsula to California. We hope to get as far north as San Francisco, if not Portland, and head home from California in October 2016.”
